European Central Bank Governing Council Madis Muller said that in JunehyperspinarcadeInterest rates may be cut at the monetary policy meeting.
Muller told lawmakers in Estonia,"When we meet again in June, if nothing very unexpected happens to the euro economy before then, we may have reached the point where we can start reducing central bank interest rates, which are indeed very high right now."
"Inflation is already very close to 2%, and we think it will be sustainable to reach this level."
